Scheduling of lessons is done through the office
only, not through your teacher. You must inform The Collective office if you wish to cancel your lesson or wish to make any
changes in your lesson schedule. It is not the private instructors' responsibility to schedule or administrate their lessons
in any way. This will ensure that no misunderstandings over scheduling or payment occur.
To be excused from your lesson, you must contact the office by 2 p.m. the day before your lesson is
scheduled. If you cancel after 2 p.m., or fail to show up for a scheduled lesson, you will be charged for that lesson.
PLEASE NOTE: If your lesson is scheduled on a Monday, you must contact the
office by the previous Saturday no later than 5pm.
Payment
for lessons may be made each time you take a lesson, or by the 4 lesson or 12 lesson block:
a) If you wish to
pay for lessons one at a time, they are $70 each. A one-lesson deposit
of $70 is required in advance of the first lesson. This deposit is kept on file for the duration of your studies and is refundable,
or can be applied to pay for your last lesson, should you discontinue. To continue scheduling lessons, the deposit must be
repaid.
b) If you wish to pay for lessons in blocks of four lessons, you will be charged at the discounted rate
of $265 per 4 lessons (a combined $15 savings), and no deposit is necessary. Initial payment for the 4 lessons is made
in advance of the first lesson. You will receive a verbal bill when you check in at the front desk on the third of four
lessons to remind you that payment is due on the fourth lesson for the
next block of lessons. It is your responsibility to notify the office if you do not wish to continue.
c) You may pay for twelve lessons at a time. Lessons are $750 per block of 12 lessons (a combined savings
of $90). Lessons do not need to be all taken in 12 weeks, nor do they need to be with only one teacher-you can study with
various members of the faculty, at whatever schedule you like--weekly, every other week, or "as arranged." PLEASE NOTE: A block of lessons does expire 1 year from the
date of purchase.
Refunds: In the event that
you discontinue private study in the middle of a block of lessons, used lessons paid for at the block rate will be charged
at the individual rate ($70 per hour) and the balance refunded. If there is no outstanding balance on your account,
your lesson deposit will be refunded, if you pay individually. Any outstanding balances will be charged against your
deposit and the remainder refunded. The $25 registration fee is non-refundable.
Refunds are paid by check
only, and are mailed within six weeks of refund request in writing or by phone to The Collective office. No refunds will be paid in cash. If you wish to pick up a refund check in person,
